I went to Furtados Music Store in Koramangala to buy an acoustic guitar. The sales staff who attended to me was quite helpful and sold me a Hofner guitar (INR 8, 800) which was great sounding and suited my needs. I also got a small discount. My friend who accompanied me also made a purchase (D’Addario strings costing INR 825). After we made the payment the sales staff packed our stuff and gave us the bill.
We went home happily only to realize that the strings were missing. I went back to the store after a few days and met the sales staff who had sold me the guitar. Even before I could say anything, he refused to recognize me. I went to the store manager and told him about he situation. He called the sales guy who again did not have the guts to look into my eyes and talk.
After being associated with music for more than 20 years, this experience left me with a bad taste. I surely will avoid going to Furtados again. I visited another music store on Brigade road (Sonido) and saw the same sales guy working there. Both of us were uncomfortable after seeing each other and I immediately walked out of the store. It is because of a few cheating people that reputation of others get ruined.
