I got an invite for a meeting at Hotel Sandal Suites, Noida yesterday. It was a sales pitch event, but they did it too badly.

1. I was told that there would be meals etc. and it will take only 40-50 mins, but I did not get anything except a cup of tea for 2-3 hr long session. Also, they took too long despite me telling them that I am too busy today. At times, I tried to jump out, but I was convinced that it is about to end.

   
   




2. Throughout the presentation, they tried to convince me that they are not selling memberships, but this is exactly what they were selling.

   
   




3. The package price was extremely inflated, when compared to the level of rooms they offered. You can get better rooms from the interest of package price. When I tried to explain this to the lady, she started panicking, and said’when you are buying a luxury, you don’t do calculations like this’. Except that all these so-called luxuries are available at a much better rate outside package.

   
   

4.They kept misguiding us with the cost of hotel rooms. According to them, the starting price of rooms at Sandal Suites Lemon Tree is 20-25k, but in reality they are available at 4-5k right now on Goibibo.

1. The worst part was’free gifts’. None of them were free in reality. When they don’t even have money for food and basic freebies during a promotional event, what should one expect from their products and services?
