It Really Cleans!

I recently had the opportunity to try Gain Laundry Detergent and was quite pleased with the product. I decided to try it out as I have tried their sister product Tide, with great results.

Gain has several options for scent (which is nice) and it does clean clothes quite well. They do not have a ’’Scent free’’ product in the line yet, but if I know Proctor & Gamble - they will!

The clothes come out of the washer smelling very fresh and looking very clean. It ranks right up there with Tide in cleaning power...makes you wonder why P&G decided to come out with another product but - they probably figured for those of us that don’t like Tide, this would probably sell them and get that market share too!

Gain comes in liquid and powder (I have only seen liquid here in Canada so far). It has several scents in regular and only one scent in the Alternative Bleach formula. And now I seen Bounce (another P&G product) comes in a ’’Gain scent’’ formula of dryer sheet to keep that scent going right thru to the end!

I tested Gain by trying on blood (a slip in the kitchen in which I used my apron as a bandage!), dirt from gardening (ground into the knees as I hate kneepads!), and mud from my two dogs (jumping into the car after playing at the off leash park in the river then finding any mudhole they could find to roll in!). I pre-treated by pouring a bit of liquid Gain on the blood and leaving it for about 30 minutes but other than that, just washed with the Gain and WALAH!! no more stains!!

Anyways, I cannot complain about Gain - it cleans well, smells great and costs about the same as Tide...so in my book - it works for me!
