Gallops is a restaurant located at the Mahalaxmi race course.
It has recently opened a branch at Juhu. The Gallops restaurant at the race course has open lawns where one can hold private parties.
I have had meals at the Gallops restaurant a number of times with my family and friends. I have also attended a number of private parties held on the lawns.
The comments given below are my personal comments.
Type of food
A variety of food is served. You have a choice of Continental, Indian, Muglai, Tandoori and Chinese. The Continental food is the speciality of Gallops. I have e.aten the Continental, Indian, Muglai and the Tandoori dishes and all of them have been made extremely well, served piping hot, with reasonable sized portions well garnished.
Ambience
The ambience in the restaurant is very pleasing, it having been tastefully redecorated last year.
Music
There is a live band during dinner playing orchestral music.
Staff appeal
The staff is well dressed and polite in their behaviour.
Speed of service
The time taken to serve the food depends on the dish ordered. Tandoori food takes a little longer as it is freshly cooked.
The food is really very tasty and lip smacking and well worth the price.
One other advantage Gallops has over other restaurants is that car parking is available at all times.
