While the gameplay of this site is decent(although there are many other better chess websites out there), the administrators are money-greedy and shove advertising down the throat of the users of free accounts and give everyone limited games.
Because advertising on the website attempted to faulty and non-working’spyware removers’ from my computer and redirected to their own websites several times, I decided to put blocking software to remove the annoyances. And no, I do not have spyware on my computer as the only time I have ever received the ads was *on* gameknot. Shortly after they blocked access from me having a free account, telling me basically to pay up or get out.
Seeing that the site is rather ugly and I was on my last several games, I decided not to pay for something that is free and better on other sites. I have found a much better free alternative with unlimited games at once, so Gameknot will not be missed.
