Gamyam is a surprise for telugu filmgoers.Its a pleasent & sensible film after a long time.Its philosophical with no boring moments.Characterization is nicely done.Every character has its own goal.

Story : Abhiram(sarvanand) is son of an industrialist.Abhiram being a spoiled brat, damn cares for others esp., poor people.He falls in love with a doctor, janaki(Kamalini Mukherjee), an orphan. Janaki is an idealist and does lot of social service through her profession.Abhiram tries to woo her and succeeds.she too falls for abhiram but his repulsion towards poor people and others really worries her.She avoids him and leaves him for a remote village service.
Abhiram decides to go n search for his ladylove.This is a U-turn for his life.In this journey gaali seenu(Allari Naresh), bike thief, who eyes abhiram’s bike, accompanies him.They encounter various people like factionists, naxals, Ex-naxal vexed up of naxalism.So finally the questions .Does abhiram finds janaki? Does Gaali seenu succeeds in stealing abhiram’s bike? What’s in store for abhiram.Well u have to watch this pleasent flick.
Performances : sarwanand does really well.He emotes well in being transformed role. Kamalini does her role very well.she looks great in sarees and doesnt need to flaunt her body as other actresses.Cool perfomer altogether.Allari naresh*, this guy though of heriditary for telugu films and not so good looking but blessed with immense talent.certainly his character is highlight of this film and he does it with ease.Others are adequate.
Dialogues: Kudos to this writer.Dialogues are both philosophical and comical.We can expect more from him in the future.
Music : Music is good.All songs are well shot.Considering the rural background for some songs, those are natural.Lyrics are well penned.
Cinematography : Refreshing and well done.
Direction : His work is Appreciable.He must be thanked for giving us a break from telugu films routine mass masala formulas.But the script could have better.He had a nice team and could have done much better film.Considering his debut film he must be appreciated.
On the whole, this movie is worth watchable even u are not a movie freak.U can watch this film with entire family.Do watch this movie, who knows it may take many years to see another meaningful movie in telugu.
