I like only a few t.v. shows as most of the TV shows are senseless and based on fake stories. After so much time I saw a TV show that I appreciated. It is named Ganga. This is the show based on two evils of society .
First is child marriage and second is how widows are treated in our society. It is shown very beautifully in the show through a young child named Ganga. She was got married in a very young age.
After marriage, his husband’s family and his father go to the confluence where they died and Ganga was left alone there. A high court lawyer named Niranjan saw this sweet child and took her home. Niranjan’s mother is also a widow.
She follows very strict rules like she eats only chalatis, fruits, boiled vegetables and does not eat any fried food. She does not do any modern things. She cut her hair after her husband died. And she expects Ganga to follow the same rules but Ganga’s is a child and an intelligent and curious girl. She wants to know the reason behind everything she is asked to do. This show is based on Ganga’s journey as a fun loving and care free girl.
