GANGSTER isn’t a film about crime it focuses about a gangster heart that ruthlessly seeks love n compells him to change.Its a gripping tale where all the 3 principal actors Shiney Ahuja(Daya), Emraan Hashmi n Kangna(simran) give their best performance.Its possibly the toughest role written for a female debut (Kangna) whose character revolves around a couple of volatile emotions.The story gives us a love triangle, simran and her gangster lover daya who are immensely in love with each other and Emraan the cop who destroys and shatters everything between the two.one of the most memorable moment is Daya’s arrest in Seoul station, as he protests against the injustice that turns his pure love into a mere betrayal and rises a big question on the matter of LOVE & FAITH.
Directur Anurag Basu captures the despsrate anxities of the three way passion play with sequence which makes it a complicated trajectory.slow & steadily Anurag pulls of all the layers making the viewers thirsty for more & at times situations are handled very carefully.music (By Pritam)is simply superb and very well suits the situation.
The film moves through flashbacks which makes it interesting and keeps the viewers glued.All in all a perfect movie with love, romance, action, betrayal, and moreover its outstanding music which amuses everyone.I give this movie 5 of 5.
