Just a word of warning to anyone planning to go to Ganpatiphule - the virgin beach near Mumbai.
Don’t even consider staying at Abhishek beach resort! - We had a free booking there thru BPL, took one look at it, and ran away searching for alternatives. The MTDC resort is the best - both location wise (right next to the beach), amenities wise and gives value for money.
Here are some tips on the cottages -
MTDC has cottages facing teh beach, with an air con option, but you really don’t need the air con.
Also, the tents are a good option for groups of people.
There are a few air con tents with all modern facilities which in our opinion are the best option.
The latter hugs the backwaters, and thre are a few watersports options too.
The swayambhu temple is beautiful and feels very spritual.
