Set in scenic Mauritius, the plotrevolves around photographer Mac (Akshay) and Sam(John), working for a magazine titled Garam Masala. Sam wins a photography contest after submitting somebody else’s photo as his own, is promoted above Mac and is sent to US for a month as an official vacation…A depressed Mac wants to get back at Sam…!!!
With the help of one of his office cronies’, Mac gets acquainted with 3 airhostesses, a brief courtship and a song later, promises to marry each one of them. He houses them in a posh bungalow of which he has become the care-taker…Getting him imported gaadis is his friend Babban(Rajpal Yadav)…Throw in Uncle Mambo(Paresh Rawal) into this mess and you’ve got your bheja fry…!!!
The musical chairs which ensues, involving the 3 girlfriends so that they are not aware of his romance with the other girls, is boring to say the least…And lest I forget, there’s Rimi Sen, who is the actual fiancé of Mac and Paintal, who plays his uncle…
There is no dearth of skin though…One of the song sequences is reminiscent of running coast-guards of Baywatch…Move over Yasmeen Bleeth and the Pamela Anderson, the desi version is here…;)
Paresh Rawal is his usual comical self…Akshay and John are definitely not the worst things in this movie…The story is not interesting, the dialogues lack punch and the direction is missing…All in all, you’re doing yourself a big favour by not watching it…!!!
