Garhwal (and kumaun) are two of the most beautiful districts in the world. if you want to have an absolutely out of the world experience go for it. but garhwal is not a small place (like say shimla). it is a vast place with hundreds (if not thousands) of small places each of which is worth visiting. one thing that i’m ready to bet my whole bank balance (though there is not much in it) on is that if you have the slightest interest in anything outside your closed room and visit this place , you have to come again and again. be warned, this place is addictive. i’ve seen people coming back to these places for last half century.in fact I must admit that i’m also addicted to this place since the first time I visited this in 1990. the moment I can manage a long enough holiday I run off to garhwal.
