I happen to be one of the unfortunate Garuda Internet Subscriber in Mumbai lured by advertisements of low cost internet service. They gave me the set and the connection wire immediately with one CD for internet connection after payment of the connection charges. I tried to connect to the internet however without any success; on enquiry through their call centre it was learnt that their server is not ready. After a week time, I tried to connect again but it never got connected. I tried to take help through their call centre, most of the time sleeping ladies were responding from other side and they will confuse you without any help that too they had been continuously rude. I put thereafter complaint through the internet on MTNL site. In turn I got a message as to how to configure for internet connection however without any support as it was of no use. I asked for support but I was informed that they do not provide any manual support. For couple of months I kept paying the internet charges without any service actually being availed by me.
It was the time to take a wise decision; I applied for disconnection for the service through their much publicised Grahak Seva Kendra. Still I kept getting the Bill, one day I got a call that you return the connection wire and CD then only connection could be disconnected. I had no choice but to again to run to the damn Kendra and return the wire and CD. Still I got the bill for the internet service for couple of months, I wrote to their Zonal office and after six months from the date of connection they disconnected my internet service connection and I had to pay for it for six months without availing any service.
It was my fault that I took a foolish decision to have faith in MTNL Garuda.
Moral: Never touch this service even with a long Bamboo for following simple reasons.
These fellows are still living in fool’s paradise expecting that customers would run after them as they have no choice.
Still they behave as if they are masters and customers are their servants.
They don’t provide any support.
Their call centre is of no help and it is full of sleeping ghosts who will scare you not help you.
Their billing is perfect and they will keep charging you without providing any service. Also they would never grant you any refund for lack in service.
