MTNL introduced their CDMA Mobile pre-paid service long ago but recently they have extended lifetime offer(Garuda Jeevan Sathi) similar to its GSM postpaid/prepaid services having lifetime validity.
The main attraction is the handset which they are offering classic type Huewai or flip type Hisense for Rs.1, 540/- while extending similar amount worth free talk time i.e., Rs.1, 500/- on its own network having a validity of one year. However, for other networks a talktime of Rs.50/- is being given. Recharge coupons are available in dominations of Rs.100/-(talktime worth Rs.110/-); Rs.300/-(talktime worth Rs.350/-) which is another attraction. It has 15 seconds pulse in local network.
MTNL has licence to operate its CDMA services in Mumbai/Delhi which is 20 years from 1997. That means we can enjoy its incoming facility till 2017(ofcourse minimum recharge of Rs.100/- is required in every six months). Choice of handset(i) Huewai bar moder for long bettery life, (ii) Hisense flip model for internet facility or(iii) Curitel flip model for internet facility and CAMERA.
