Is this a 433, or a 233??

MSRP $999.00

Processor model: Celeron

Processor : 433 MHz

RAM : 64MB

Hard disk : 8.4GB

Monitor : 17 in.

Aside from the good price and support, this PC is very disappointing. My friend purchased one after he turned down my suggestion to build one. When he called, he was on hold for 10 minutes to place the order. It then took almost 3 weeks for the PC to arrive. Once unpacked, he started getting memory errors on boot (BIOS generated). After they shipped a replacement memory module (a week later), it finally booted. The hard drive sounded like the neighbor was beating on his air conditioner with a lead pipe. Gateway claims this is normal (the hard drive croaked 3 weeks later). The Celeron CPU (lack of cache) and slow hard drive (5400 RPM) creates a very sluggish overall performance. This PC ranks near the bottom of the barrel in all benchmark tests. Bottom line....stay away from this model.
