Don't Deliver on time, Manner less employees.

They don’t delivery on time, manner less employees in their brick and mortar offices plus you pay premium price.


Let me first start telling you that this company GATI is a big well established logistics company not only in India but has network overseas. But their professionalism goes down the drain when you actually get their service even once. Let me start the story now.


I had to send some things to my relative from Belgaum to Bengaluru, which was packed in two boxes. The reason I chose GATI in spite of they being much expensive, was because I wanted it to be Door-to-Door service plus expecting prompt delivery; hoping they stand for their name GATI (which means speed).


They picked the package on 18th Sept (from Belgaum) and they had an assured delivery date of 20th Sept.


The package reached Bengaluru office on 19th and we expected it to be delivered the next day. But alas, it was not delivered on the 20th, nor the 21st.


Now I decided to go to the Belgaum office to ask what is going on. The employees there were very rude, unprofessional; and they were asking me as to why I didn’t come earlier to ask about my package and remind them that it had to be delivered. Look at them……, do I need to remind them that their duty is to deliver my package.


Moreover, not even one employee knew the local language Kannada to cater to the needs of the Kannada speaking people. Belgaum falls in Karnataka and Kannadigas live here. These idiots in office were from North India (no problem with that) but GATI doesn’t have even a single employee who can cater to Kannada people.


By this time I was pissed, came home and called up the customer service to check about my package plus share my woes. The representative registered a complaint and told me he will find out what’s going on.


Next day was 22nd (weekly holiday), so no delivery.


Thought it will be delivered on 23rd , but hell…..NO!  By this time, the customer representative called me and told that the package is going from one office to the next office, because they can’t figure out which office jurisdiction this delivery address falls under. I said that ain’t my problem. I expect a well-established company like GATI has best logistics system in place and stands by its delivery date.


Anyways, finally the next day, Sept 24th my package was delivered.


In summary, I would like to say that I paid a premium price to get this door-to-door service and prompt assured delivery. But GATI failed miserably in delivering on time plus show the professionalism of an international logistics company. I will not be using them again. Would like to say one thing…..’allow FDI in logistics’.


Foreign MNCs have better service and customer satisfaction than our GATI.
