An alternative to Gator

There’s plenty of reviews here about why Gator is bad. And I agree with them 200%. Therefore, I’m here to present an alternative solution to Gator.

With the gazillion websites we all visit and are registered at, trying to remember all usernames and passwords could result in serious mental injury. When Gator came out, it was a Godsend in these trying web times. It was too good to last...slowly but surely the scumware in Gator started manifesting itself. And right about the time I’d decided to give up on Gator, a great utility called Roboform (https://roboform.com) came out.

Here’s an excerpt from the user policy that comes with the RoboForm software [’user-end policies’ are generally stuff I never ever take the effort to read through, but after my experience with Gator, this time I paid attention :) ]

’’Personal Data: All data that you enter into AI RoboForm Identities and Passcards is stored locally on your computer in files with RFT and RFP extensions. It is NOT stored on any external server. AI RoboForm does NOT cause any data that is contained in Identities and Passcards to be transmitted over Internet. That is, AI RoboForm is NOT a spyware.

No Monitoring: AI RoboForm does NOT send information about sites that you visit or any information about your browsing to any servers. That is, AI RoboForm is NOT a spyware’’

This is simple language with no legalese. Enough to win me over. :)

Anyways, the point I’m trying to make is this: RoboForm’s a great way to take care of mundane tasks like filling online forms with names, addresses et. al. and also remembering username and passwords for different sites. But don’t take my word for it......try it out yourself!
