Gaya Airport is the largest and the only International Airport in Bihar and Jharkhand. It is connected to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Kathmandu and Myanmar. It is also being developed as a stand-by to the Kolkata airport. Gaya Airport is served by Air India for domestic flights to Delhi, Kolkata.
Gaya International Airport has been also granted to facilitate e-Visa on arrival to 87 countries including European Countries, Japan, Thailand and others.Visa on Arrival is the only facility available in Gaya in Eastern Part of India.
The Airport has an incoming and outgoing shop(including Duty Free Shop) along the departure concourse, car parking facility for long and short term along with places to eat and special service is provided to the senior citizen and the physically handicapped people. This Airport doesnt get as much traffic as the other international airports in India but still this airport has a lot to offer. It is located at a very green location overlooking fields of crops on both sides along with a hint of rural india .
The airport is located on the Gaya-Dobhi highway, 5 kms from Bodhgaya.
