I wanted to buy a car of bright red color, either Wagon R or Estillo on the Vijayadasimi Day and went to GEM motors with the same intent. They showed me Wagon R(three months old at the yard, with lot of dust and scratches). When enquired about Estillo, they mentioned that they can get it from factory with in 5 days.
I made the payment of "advance" on 11th to that effect to get a Estillo and then immediately I was informed that the transport will take 10 - 15 days from factory in Noida, and was assured that the car will be delivered by month end.
On 25th they called me and said that the full payment needs to be made as the car has been dispatched from Noida so the formality has to be completed.
Again at month end, they mentioned that "due to rains" the truck is stuck somewhere. and will be delivered on Deepawali.
Again on Nov 2(two days before Deepawali) I was informed that the truck was at Zahirabad, 50 Km from Hyderabad and car will be delivered on Nov 3(Dhanteras). On Nov 3, I was informed that the truck driver was not responding to phone calls and company of the logistics too was not responding to calls.
They gave their manager’s number and he convieniently did not pick up the phone. But on 4th they again called and said, that the car will be defenitely given on 5th(the actual Diwali Day). Thatz about it, today is 7th Nov, when am writing this, no sound from their end.
Good to know that the entire sales team is made up of liars, cheats with their manager being Class-A 420.
If one can avoid these jokers, that is the best that can happen.(Not that "sales" is a synonym to lies, but there needs to be some integrity in lies too. not lying thru teeth)
