Well, what do I say about **mouthshut**. I have been on this site for almost six month and am eagerly awaiting my cheque. But that is an another story. I was always keen on writing and letting people read what I write and let them think what they think of write-up. I am glad to say that mouthshut has satisfied this desire of mine.Heck! They have more than satisfied my desire. They pay me for writing. This site has opened up a whole new avenue for people around the world to come and share their opinions. It is real heartening to see people from UK, USA, Canada and all other countries talking to each other. It is as if we are next-door neighbors rather than people who live 1000’s of kms away.
I feel that members like Calvin, Suyog, riks, Rosie , jilmil, Venchassa, Abbey, ptmomsure, 2atbirthusa, pree_16, zewerewolf, sensiva (the last three are old friends who live in the same city or the city nearby!) and many other members who rate and comment on my reviews are like my next door neighbors and **mouthshut** is the ’’Window’’ through which I communicate with them. Let me tell you about my experience at **mouthshut**.
First Month * - Well, 100 words reviews were the norm and my reviews did not used to get more than 7 to 8 reads. Quantity and not quality at that time. Never read any reviews at all.
Second month * - Started to write more detail reviews but not all that good ones. My readings improved to around 10-12. Still I read no reviews.
Third month * - Slightly dull days. Had my Board exams and entrance exams. So laid low this month.
Fourth Month * - Well computer and movie reviews were what I was into in this month. Quality was the main criteria. Long and detailed reviews on computers. This was when I started ’’REALLY’’ reading and rating and commenting on reviews. This was when I saw readings of my reviews raise from 10-15 to 20-25. My best review though was on Mumbai which had member visits of around 45.
Fifth month * - Loads of computer games and movie reviews. Similar month to the fourth. Though I rated and commented much more this month.
Sixth month * - This is the month which has been going on.
As you see, I have had the most memorable time at **mouthshut** . Though we (see I used WE) did have some unsavory reviews. Well the one I remember was one on India by a member (Who I wish not to name), which caused a hell lot of controversy. I retaliated in anger writing about Pakistan. Just a 100-120 word reviews. Believe it or not, it got 80 member visits in a day! But then the review was deleted. I was furious at first, but then realized that it was for the better. This is one aspect of **mouthshut** I like the most - ** CENSORSHIP **. They were completely right in deleting the review.
Then the other endearing part of this site is the comment section and the member mail section. I have been the recipient of some very wonderful comments and emails from the members. There is this ** COMMUNITY SPIRIT ** at **mouthshut** which I have not found at any other site and I believe that it is a very driving factor. I am sure all the members will agree that the community spirit at this site is great.
The circle of trust is another wonderful part of the site. The reviews by members are so informative, funny and sometimes touching (abbey, your write up had me in tears). The other factor is that people ’’rate’’ your reviews. I have seen so many other sites where people just write reviews and never bother to rate yours.
All in all, it has been the most wonderful experience here at **mouthshut** and I hope that it continues that way. (That depends on my cheque though! ha ha.. just joking). And this sure is addictive. This is my 106th review and there are no signs of stopping. Thank you Faisal so much for improving my life. (I am serious!)

P.S - A small suggestion here. Can’t we have a small statistics section? Like most reviews written, Most review readings received and the likes. What say Faisal?
