Life before and after Mouthshut

Before MS

  1. Office @ 8 am sharp

  2. Check emails( both official and personal) and respond

  3. download anti virus latest updates and apply at 25 machines in this office

  4. restore the Previous days back up to a different location and test back up integrity

  5. on Tuesdays and Thursdays - software license auditing

  6. Lunch time( 1 hour is what my office allows me)

  7. Call Flora( my gal) . 15 minutes conversation

  8. Security bulletins on Microsoft and symantec

  9. Backup

  10. Check email and sign off Home by 5 or 6 pm

After MS

  1. Office at 7.15, because I need to catch up on the latest reviews on MS

  2. Check emails and respond . Check the latest reviews on MS

3.download anti virus updates, update on all the machines while checking out the latest reviews on MS

  1. Restore the previous days back up . this takes 2 to 3 hours . in the mean time check out the star writers profiles and go thru their reviews( gosh there are so many of them)

  2. Software licensing auditing now happens only on Thursdays .

  3. Lunch time . I finish lunch in 10 minutes . excuse my self from my colleagues chit chat during lunch . get back to reading reviews on MS

  4. Call Flora . cut the conversation to 5 minutes, and get back to my busy work . err. Mouthshut . Hope she dont read this.

  5. Security bulletins and Mouthshut . I mean . I save the Latest security bulletin in Favorites and get back to mouth shut.

  6. Backup . usually this takes an hour . which I tell my junior colleague to take care of it . he is a new trainee . and he has to learn stuff. He is getting lazy by the day. this task is assigned to Him. Nice being a Boss( my first time being a boss)

  7. Have lots of important things to do . catch up on the latest in MS . and sign off home. By 8 pm.

Today its 8.45 when I post this.

Ps. Pst pst . nos 2, 3, 4, 5 8, 9 are actually handled by my subordinate . He has to learn. Like I did from my boss during my trainee days. Like I said . Its nice to be a boss
