I was told by the sales men at croma, ezone & kohinoor in mumbai (i bought my acs from kohinoor) that the lg & samsung (2 star rated) acs are good enough for use at home. When i insisted on a 5 star rated ac, they also pointed at the hitachi.
They said that for the premium in the price, i would be getting a very long lasting, efficient & superior cooling ac. They told me that the 1.2 ton ace follow me ac could cool a 140sq feet room & the 1.5 ton ace follow me ac could cool a 180sq feet room.they also said that the 1.2 ton ace follow me from hitachi was as good as or better than the 1.5 ton ac of other brands!
After getting the rau014eqd fitted in my bedroom (130sq feet) and the rau 01 8eqd fitted in my hall (170sq feet), i am extremely saddened. The cooling is okay, but takes time. The blowers are no great guns either…
I thought i had bought something great, paying a premium. But these acs seem to be just as good or bad as any other (including the assembled ac i used for well over 15 years). The customer service claims the air throw to be 10 feet & 14 feet respectively, which looks to be a really tall claim!
And the customer service claims the area covered as 100sq ft & 144sq ft respectively, proving the sales men to be really ignorant!
I will have something to be happy if i see a cut in my electric bills…
