AirDroid - an android app, which helps you take control of your android phone through a web browser. Ok, so it does not sound so exiciting with only CONTROL word?
Let me detail it then, would not you like to browse your android phone from your dek, when not on move, type sms by a full fledged computer key board, see your entire call logs, sms and every other function you can think off?
Yes, that is what exactly this Android App - airdroid does.
How it works:-
Install this app on your phone form Android play store.
Your mobile should be connected to a internet connection, or should be on a WLAN.
Head to a PC with either internet connection or one which is connected through same WLAN.
Go to the app on your phone, click start and bingo, no signup needed, it will give you a login pin.
On computer open a browser, type web.airdroid.com, key in the given pin and MAGIC, your phone desktop is there on the browser.
It is much simpler than what I have written above, works like breeze.
What all you can do in the browser:-
- Access all the files on your phone, transfer to computer or upload to phone from computer wirelessly.
2.Access and read all your SMS, delete, change time stamp or even write one right there.
See all your installed apps on the phone, install new or uninstall existing.
See music, photo, video on the phone transfer bothways.
Change settings, ringtone etc
When it helps, when you are at work or at home, working or browsing on your PC, at that time you can control your android phone and easily manage it conveniently through a big screen of PC monitor and full fledged key board.
And those concerned about security, the connection is secure.
Since I have downloaded, I have fallen in love with this app and almost use daily to clear unwanted sms, write new ones, transfer files etc on my Galaxy Note. It actually eliminates the need of a PC suit installation, so even if you change your phone brand you need not change the PC suit, just manage it wirelessly as long as it is an android.
And yes there are such apps available on all other major platforms such as iOS, Windows and Symbian; and I assign myself a task now to test an iOS one on my iPad or iPhone.
