I am writing this review based on Android OS or android OS based mobile, I was really curious when the android hit the market and thought it would really be a bang, but I may be a bang, I would express what I felt using android (high end) phones compared to other regular phones (excluding Windows phones).
Android developers would be releasing versions, 1.5, 2.1, 2.2, etc, so if you just rush buy an android phone and later need to upgrade to latest version, you cannot go easily to latest versions because there your hardware hits you, it will not support latest versions, so then you need to buy more costlier phones, i.e. 25k and above even that would also not support 2.3 and above, so beware while buying android phones.
Some may feel why we need to upgrade to latest versions, it is becoz, there would be some added features like call block and few other apps etc handy in latest versions.
If you are bit technical and want to try doing it yourself upgrading to latest versions it is not easy and it will take your 5-6 hours doing that and if you also succeed it will give you problems saying CAMERA not working, Video not working, sound distortion during calls etc. Never attempt and waste your time.
One more amazing thing in android, there is access to market where you can download apps, if you bend to pick some apps thinking it may help you, NO the apps only serve you the success rate is 10%, most of the apps you will end up uninstalling getting hit by them badly, they only tempt you to buy the paid versions like pro etc which not all serve you good.
There is provision for making the screen brighter and make it visible to look the monitor in the sun, but there is also a problem of the battery life, many big tech heads say if you want to say battery then keep the screen brightness low, don’t data sync, etc, then why should we buy paying so much and do all this I dont understand.
In regular phones, you open any app, work on it and say close it closes, but stay on, it not happens in android, you need to go download task manager, kill tasks, etc for that to close apps, if you ignore opening all apps result - your phone is slow - damn, keeping killing all apps and again check your patience your self.
Most the free apps in market are waste and of no use, do not take GPRS or 3g and waste your money else if you are using to check mails or do any office work.
Just go for regular phones, which by default are good to use, but same if you want to make this android phone to work like regular phones, you need to waste some more money on apps and your time on this thing only to conclude that you are just 10% success in that.
Folks just think again before going to android phones.
