Enjoy the show

Live concerts are a lot of fun. I can BET you this for I have attended quite a few, ranging from Open air Bryan Adams, Colonial Cousins to the ones held in Top Auditoriums featuring Zakir Hussain to Hari Prasad Chaurasia . So, concerts could be anything from Indian light music, to western to classical and you need to respect the artist and also enjoy the show .

The whole point of attending live concerts is to be able to enjoy the performance of the musician right there instead of on tape or cd. The audio effects, the whole atmosphere is so charged that you CAN NOT NOT have fun and enjoy yourself.

Depending on the performance the level of excitement varies. For example, it is NOT possible to expect people to stay calm and quiet during Bryan Adams show. It is a fully charged geared up audience that are screaming their hearts out and fun is at its peak.

There are certain Etiquette to be followed while planning to or attending a concert .

Plan well ahead of time:-

Plan your trip if your travelling from out of town, dont wait for last minute hurry burry planning, esp if you DONT want to miss the show. And for those who are from the same place, make arrangements for vehicle and if you are pooling wiht friends, make sure you are all meeting at a point well ahead of time.

*Watch what you wear:-

*We all wanna look our best and be the attention grabber most of the time, but if you are going for an Indoor concert, it is perfectly fine to dorn your best outfit and be jazzed up with the best jewellery and accessories, but if you are going for an OPen Air concert, make sure to wear comfortable clothes, a jeans and Top or Salwar kameez, something you are comfortable in and the fabric should also be comfy, cos if you are going to be standing, dancing, screaming  amongs thousands of others you wouldn wanna get out soaking wet or stinking of sweat(either yours or someone elses) .

Also pay attention to footwear. For an Open air show, wear platforms to be on the safe side, cos you would be comfortable standing in them for hours and there would be no incident of causing pain to others in case you stamp on their feet.;)

*Baggage:-

Dont carry anything you dont need to a concert, this will only be a bother, as half the time your mind would be on that bag, wondering if it is safe where you left it. Again, it is ok if its a closed indoor show, cos this means you are going to have your stuff with you, next to your seat but incase of outdoor shows, dont carry anything at all. just stuff whatever you need in your pant pockets or give it to someone who has pockets. no point in carrying stuff and losing them in the crowd. Better Safe than sorry .

*Food and beverage:-

*If your going for an indoor show, carry a bottle of water, pleasee dont carry packets of chips or biscuits which will make a loud noise and irritate the others. And if its for an outdoor event, eat something before heading cos you are unlike to find any food stalls and wont be able to make your way through the crowd and get back in one piece.

*Travel:

*Chk out the parking arrangements made in that day’s newspaper before heading for the show, cos if they are expecting a huge turn out, they are likely to have organized parking elsewhere. it is also better to go in a group as this way you will be able to find your vehicle and get out faster .

Final Note .

No matter what preparation you do, the only OBJECTIVE of the evening should be to HAVE A GOOD TIME and ENJOY YOURSELF.

ONE MORE NOTE IS PLEASSEE DONT SMOKE DURING THESE SHOWS. IT REALLLY IRRITATES THE OTHERS WHO ARE THERE TO ENJOY THE SHOW .

EITHER SWITCH OFF YOUR MOBILES OR PUT IT ON SILENT MODE SO YOU DONT DISTURB OTHERS.

Have fun.
