I have a home loan from ABN AMRO taken in 2005. I had taken from them as they were new entrants and the rates were low. Now am utterly frustrated on the state of affairs. Following is the current state of affairs

2. I am at present awaiting a disbursement of about 1.2 lacks and its been about 2 months I haven’t got it.
This branch earlier used to handle all the home loans for Kolkata. Now as per them home loans are being seen directly from the Mumbai office. Thus even a telephone call needs a week to be answered.
Once you go to this branch as I have to go, there is an endless wait, managers or anybody is simply not willing to see you, the reception is the busiest ever I have ever seen
Earlier persons used to come and give all the disbursements and take the documents. That facility is no longer there. However, if the bank needs anything from me then they send persons.
6. The attrition rate in the bank is very high. Every time some new person handles my case.
- The grievance process of this bank is just bluff. On Sep 21 2007 I put a complaint in written and handed over to the bank personnel. As per service mentioned they should get back to me by a week!. About a week later they call me up to check how the person who took my complaint behaved with me, however, they were not even understanding or saying anything about the status of the complaint!
In all it is a worthless bank.
I am looking for transferring the home loan to some other bank.
Think twice before you go there.
