Help... I have done 100+ in running-in

Hi guys.

I have recently bought a Yamaha Gladiator - 125.

The bike’s doing well and I’m very satisfied with its performance. It was giving a mileage of around 52 in city conditions and 60 in highway, when I last checked.

Until the first service. I never did above 60 Kmph(that too only once). I used to maintain the specified speed of 45-50 sincerely. Soon after the first service. which was after 700 Kms, I have done up to 105kmph. for long intervals.

The road was fine, a four lane with long enough stretch of unobstructed clearance… I could feel the bike… the sound, the way it used to fly… and the torque… it was irresistible. First I thought… lemme try once… just once… I went to 100, then I kept on doing it and then, rarely would I come below 80 L

On two of my high way trips of 150 km each, my average speed was 90. many times crossing 100.

My bike has just run 1300 Kms now. But I have already done the above said stupidity.

I always thought that we have to maintain slow speeds only till the first service. But now I see here people speaking about running-in time and up to 1500 kms and above.

Now I’m really worried guys. Please tell me have I already done any damage to my bike. How to check it? What remedial measure to take.

Thanks a lot in advance.
