Trackpeers- A fraud company

I will strongly recommend you to not to opt for Trackpeers as your vehicle security system. I was lured by product description on their website, and unfortunately, went for it. The company is a fraud. to check it- kindly go to the website of Ministry of Corporate Affairs( mca.gov.in/). Under Information and Reports tab, there are lists of all registered companies, but trackpeers is nowhere.

You can also follow the given link( mca.gov.in/DCAPortalWeb/dca/QueryNameAction.do) and try to search the company by name. However, it will disappoint you once again.

Trackpeers people promise you anything-even the moon and stars on the earth- to sell their product; but once sold, will swear immediately to forget you and start hunt for the next. If there is any issue with the product, you better forget about after sell services(which happened in my case).

I wanted to install a vehicle Security System in my car that locates it(using GPS), sends me alerts in defined circumstances, and controls my vehicle(Engine immobilization) through mobile. After a short internet research, I eventually had a word with Mr. Vikas(perhaps the Director, trackpeers) and chose Trackpeers security system for my car.

I got the system(Titanium version, worth 9500/-) installed in my car on May 8, 2012. Some Mr. Karan, came to my office and installed the device in my car. At the time of installation I asked him whether installation of the device affects vehicle warrantee in any manner, and his reply was a clear and firm—NO. He gave the same reply when I tried to reconfirm it.

After installation of the device, I paid him INR 9500 in cash. When asked about the bill and warranty card of the device, he replied that the same will be sent to you through e-mail, and also by post, in a day or two. On the issue of payment of monthly rental(150/-) to keep receiving the alerts, he assured me to send all the necessary information through mail.

The problem started after two days when I asked him to activate ‘vehicle immobilization through SMS’ facility. He replied that it could not be done as it requires a car wire to be burnt/ cut which will void the warrantee of my car. I was shocked hearing this. When I asked him that it is a fraud and demanded to speak to Mr. Vikas, he hung up on me and has been ignoring my calls till today.

He picked up my phone only when I called him from an unknown number. I asked him to uninstall the device and repay the money, to which he replied that it is against the company policy and the money cannot be repaid. On the issue of bill and warranty card he committed to send it on the same day, which I am still waiting to receive.

Apart from that, there are some issues associated with their device. There is a full range of amazing features listed on TP website for my device including fuel theft alert, passenger count, harsh driving detection etc. However, I am unable to use any of them.

I have now filed a lawsuit against the company and waiting for the Court’s action. I am writing this to share my experiences with all the readers and to prevent one more Anshuman from getting into trackpeers trap.
