Yes! its ok to put cng in an indica.i have santro.and i hav also put cng in my car.even I was fed up of these petrol bills.then on the suggestion of one of my fren.i get it installed.
advantages:
1. no petrol bills.
2. its 19 rs per kg so better than petrol anyway.
3 . average increases by 4-5 kms
4. engine life increases as its the purest fuel.petrol comes with
impurities.no petrol pump owner sells pure petrol.
5 long engine life.but use only authorised kits and that too automatic.u just hav to start ur car and it will start in petrol mode.by giving a full throttle the automaitc converter converts it to the cng mode.
6 . not very expensive.mine was 41k.
disadv:
1.feel sluggish in 1st gear .so avoid pickin up in ac on.
2.takes the boot space completely in small cars.so forgert that u hav a trunk behind u.
- its available throught out in delhi but not in chandigarh and near by places.
4 in 10 kg cylinder only 8 kg gas comes.same ratio in 14 kg and 12 kg cylinder.so u cant move on a stretch more than 250 kms
5.car feel bit heavy when cng is full and from back it completely goes down as if u have store an elephant in ur trunk.so u have to have some(gutke in hindi) installed too on shockers.comes in around 300 rs.and it lifts up ur car a bit.
overall u can settle with these disadv for the price.
economy is there. no pollution .u can hang around with ur frenz.in city .can go for a long drive with ur sweethearts.what else do u want.so guys.go for it.
even m planning to buy an indica xeta and install cng kit in it.just bcoz indica is spacious and cheaper than santro and wagon r.
