Whew! Finally I joined the CNG gang, got it done last week in my Wagon-R . The very first feeling I got was . "wow! its damn cheap to refuel" .
So far my observations:
Getting CNG filled in ur car is a great feeling, I mean I am used to fuelling "Xtra-premium" petrol in my car so far, which is almost Rs 50/ltr, and then now filling CNG at Rs 19.20/killo, feels good for sure:-).
Without the A/C on, u just cant make out if the car is running on CNG or petrol(at least so far thats my experience), with A/C theres some dip in acceleration. I mean I would suggest not to turn on A/c while u r picking up in 1st or 2nd gear, after that once u reach 3rd/4th gear, turn on the A/C, its pretty kool. No issues et al.
One negative I would say is that CNG cylinder is VERY bulky. I mean its eats up all ur boot space. So dont even think of putting some heavy/big luggage in boot, with CNG planted, though theres space in the sides to put some small things. And yes, since the cylinder is quite heavy, the overall car feels like a bit heavier.
Over n all, I would say so far I am pretty happy over my decision to drive on CNG, my drive is around 80 kms a day, so this is looking good for me:)
cheers
