Many of us are still confused if to get CNG installed in our car or not, below are the facts which would help you to reconsider your decision. I have been using CNG Car from last 5 Yrs. Models used: Santro, Wagon-R, Accent, Esteem, Aveo, Honda.
Does CNG fitment makes your car engine weak?
No, it doesn’t if you get your car serviced after every 5000km, which would include Engine Oil, Air Filter, Petrol Filter and Plug Cleaning. Cost Below Rs. 1000.
Problem with CNG Car?
Missing, Pick up Problem, Average, Vibration in Engine.
Solution:- Reason for above problem comes after Car Servicing, No Worries - just get your Car to CNG Mechanic and get the setting done, only 5 min task if the Mechanic has Expertise in the CNG Setting.
What all is Required to rectify CNG problems?
Air Filter Cleaning/Change, Manual/Lamda Setting, Plug cleaning/Replacement, Plug Gab - Major cases - Plug Wires.
How much does CNG Cost?
25, 000 - 14kg Cylinder, Lamda, Advancer. 3, 000-RC Endorcement.
Running Cost on CNG?
1.2/1.5 Rs per KM without AC, 1.5/2.0 Rs per KM with AC
Which Cylinder shall we go for?
12kg is sufficient for small cars as only 20/30Rs difference comes while getting the CNG filled which is equivalet to approx 1/2 kg.
Precautions?
Get Leakage testing done after every 6 months, Get the Cylinder and Kit Velding done to avoid it from thieves, also my personal advice pls get Central Locking - Rs.2000, Gear Lock-Rs.1800.
