I have been actively considering getting a CNG kit retrofitted for my INDICA Petrol(Lxi) purchased in August, 2004. However, there are certain issues wherein I require clarifications and would be highly obliged if someone can guide:
Although I purchased Indica in Pune in August, 2004(with manufcaturing date as July, 2004), the vehicle is currently operating in Delhi/ Gurgaon area. Since it is recently transferred, I have not yet done the number change.
I am not sure whether RTO approval, incase the fitment is done in Delhi, would be needed from Pune RTO or Delhi RTO.
Since it is comparatively old vehicle(but run only 19000 kms till now), I would like to know if CNG kit is approved for this model and manufacturing date release.
Which kit would be most suited(and of course approved) for this model?
If anyone can guide towards a service center which is reliable(from past experience) in Delhi.
What is the cost of entire operation of CNG kit fitting and the parts?
What would be the position of insurance(I have from Tata-AIG) in case the CNG kit is fitted. Would it require re-inspection? What happens if re-inspection is not acceptable to the insuring agency?
