If somebody asks me to select the best from a group within an hour, what I will do is allowing them to play some games and find out a winner.   The winner surely will be a talented person who can achieve results, who can meet targets and a go getter.

I was an addict to computer games earlier.  Not now.  When I start studying computers the game of PRINCE fascinated me.   I manage to get into the second level of it, but not further.  We used to get 10 or 15 minutes only to play it.   An amazing game called WOLF was introduced to meby none other than my boss in my first company.    The creative game kept me hooked to computers through midnights and within few days I broke the records created my boss and the boss saved my game record as PAUL THE KILLER.    After few years, I was addicted to a game called GALACTA.  It is a fantastic game which needed a lot of patience, concentration and fighting spirit.   Many in the office were struck in a stage.    I tried, tried, tried and succeeded to cross the stage with persistent effort.   I felt really proud when I finished the game successfully.    Later my attempt was to make the highest score.    I didn’t stop my adventures until I crossed the entire stages in single life where 16 or more lives were left which I sacrificed one by one to make my scores further higher.   I also tried my keys on CHESS in some levels.  I felt that playing Chess to computer is surely helpful.   The CAR CHASE too addicts me many a time.

I am sure you will be having positive and negative thoughts on computer games.   There is no doubt that computer games are an addiction.     Once we enter into the mood of playing, it will always make us victims of the habit.   It can prevent our concentration from other important works and responsibilities.  Even after the game, its moments, the success/failure, and the vibration of the game will remain.  It is not so easy to get out of this habit like any other habits which gives us pleasure.

There is a very good positive side too for computer games.   It is like a training house for our emotions & thought process.   Most of these computer games are well designed and creates a good challenge for our skills.

Let me give a brief and short narration on some general qualities we may develop or we have to develop to win computer games and life.

1. Concentration is the first virtue to win any compute game where in life too it is a must to win in almost all fields.  It will boost our success and minimize our failures.

  1. Observation is a skill which we need to keep as a habit to succeed.  Keep your eyes open.  Keep your ears open.   See the moments.  Hear the sound.   Learn the rules of the game fully before you start.

  2. Accurate Calculation is a must.   Measure the distance and speed.   If you are not sure of the speed don’t rush blindly, read point number 2.  Master the space and speed.  Accuracy in our calculation of the speed and the distance can produce much better dividends than we can expect.

  3. Be Creative.   Think, plan and act creatively.  Creativity - develop it.  Prepare yourself to be receptive to new ideas and be willing to take up challenges.

  4. Be Determined.  Decide yourself that you will play and win the game.   In real life set backs may be heavily costly.  In computer games dangers are nominal.  So, take up the challenges and decide that you will not be satisfied with anything less than success.

  5. Strategies and Tactics. In a computer game our goal is to win the game with maximum points or reach targets in less time.  Plan our actions and create strategies.  Apply better tactics which suites to each and every opportunity.   Analyse your progress.

  6. Use your imagination.  Dreams can fly.  Imagination has no limits.  Develop the habit of dreaming.  Ask questions.  Find out ways and opportunities.   Don’t dare to think out of box.  Look for opportunities.  Hunt the keys of success.

  7. Don’t use short cuts.  When you know there is a person who has won the game, don’t make the mistake of asking the tricks from that person.  That will not help you.  When you play a computer game make the best use of it to develop your own skills than borrowing other’s knowledge.   You will remain as a debtor.

  8. Challenge.  Only challenges can boost up our spirit and don’t dare to compete.   Never stop your attempts before beating the competitor.  Work hard, hard and harder.   Never stop assuming you cannot do that.  Even if it means you have to play a year make sure that you continue your strive.   Develop the habit of record breaking.   With this habit we will sharpen our skills.   What motivate a runner to run faster than the other?   The inner sound we keep with us which motivate us to improve on our records should be our motivator.

  9. Patience.   You cannot have a baby in one month.  Be patient.  Give time for the baby to grow.

  10. Persistence.  Expect setbacks and ready to accept it.  Learn from each failure.   Practice your moves and attempt again and again.

  11. Celebrate the success.   Don’t think that this is a computer game and what to celebrate.  But remember it is not a computer game you have won, but a mind game you have won.  It is the talents you have mastered.  It is the habits you have developed.  Celebrate it….

I do not know the computer games you play.  However, I can tell you one thing.  Most of the above points will be required to win in those games.  Be wise to select the best game to develop skills you lack.  Select games which sharpen your known skills.    Make sure you have a screen shade on your computer.   Also make sure that children are not hooked to computers for long hours.  Give them shorter challenges like a car chase, balloon hitting etc.

To win in any game we need to know when to attack, when to defend;   How to be safe and make your opponent weak; When to keep silence, when to run;   How to chase and how to overtake.   In the mad run, don’t forget to protect yourself because your life is the game.  Win it!!!

Hai, there are more and more to write but I think you may tell me what I may have to take care when I start playing computer games again some future time…
