It’s a corporate world of both sexes. The Managing Director is on top of the pile and he stamps his authority dutifully. May the authority aggravate and nerve-rack his managers or his beautiful secretary, a managing directors life is PR oriented and expects his staff to say Were having a good time around here and is always on treat.
What seems obvious is often not obvious. There are underlying problems in every organization. My focus is on the personal working relationships in office addition to daily business problems. Most often these problems are so simple that the cause might be the desk where they might sit, the actual machine theyll be using or their involvement in assignments in comparison to others of the same cadre.
While I was on a survey recently to a firm, I personally realized that such problems exist within the organization and these problems are unidentifiable. Nevertheless, these issues affect the working atmosphere, dampen the spirits and trim down the level of efficiency.
How to attain the optimistic changes you need in employees discernment and improve their performance is the subject of most management researchers and organization psychologists today. It is understood that bringing the feelings of mind is the most difficult affair. At this instance a responsible Managing Director to enhance the growth of the company in addition to his flair for marketing has to make sure that the following etiquettes are observed.
Demonstrate the same actions of public relations for inter-office communication and with the staff. If the leader strikes the action his subordinates will follow.
Practice a bureaucratic organizational structure where every person is assigned to a task following a timeframe for completion.
Every cadre follows a set of rules, procedures and reporting style. Their salaries and perks are based on functional responsibility and level of qualification.
Individuals proceed on their personal observation of the truth before them that leads to humdrum behaviors and when combined along with the opinion of a co-worker it can be easily noticeable. As a Managing Director it is his role to instantaneously take action by communicating to such individuals confidentially and sorting out their concerns.
At this instance it is wise on my part to indicate that as per a survey done by a major research group, it revealed that most dejected employees feel confident and encouraged when they are addressed personally(in private) and spoken to behind closed doors.
*Please note that these personally addressed conversations are NOT official meetings. They are just private conversations speaking about oneselves. *
I now comprehend that in a large organization a single managing director cannot undertake the well being of each employee in his busy schedule. It is at this state of affair that I genuinely recommend the need of personnel department with highly experienced managers in every medium/large organization.
In this review I am trying to articulate my opinion by experiencing and looking at various management styles. I am sure that you wise people on Mouthshut may have your opinions which could be more professional and productive. Please pass all your comment to me.
