Recharge Homes - a fraud company

I am writing this review only to unearth the unprofessional attitude of the real estate firm called - Recharge Homes which is a real estate firm promoted by the Khorakiwala’s.

Since I was looking for a second home, I called up recharge homes to find out more about their bungalow plot scheme in Karjat which was advertised as Mohili Meadows.

Freddie was my contact person at Recharge homes and since my first enquiry, he kept on calling repeatedly asking us to pay a site visit. Since the place was interesting and given that the promoters of the company were one of India’s established business families, I agreed to a site visit.

We were not sure whether we would buy the plot, so I became slightly uncomfortable about his constant followup about paying the deposit. However Freddie constant phonecalls and reassurances that the money was fully refundable, coerced us to pay half of the deposit. Obviously, the real estate market faced a downturn and subsequently I told Freddie that I was not interested in the plot and that he should refund my money back. Since September 2008, till date.

I have been unsuccessfully trying to retrieve my money back, and have been speaking to various people including Freddie and a Director called D Rajput. They have now stopped taking my calls and refuse to answer any questions about the money. I am writing to inform middle class people like me not to invest in any of Recharge Home or any of its developments. The company, its employees and its promoters are worse than petty criminals - in whose case, don’t have an option other than crime. In the case of the Khorakiwala family, they continue to give interviews saying that they are not in a cash crunch when in reality they have taken people’s hard earned money and are filling their family coffers while swindling middle class families of their hard earned money. I do hope that the real and unbaised truth is now out in open about these so called trust-worthy business families who are nothing short of thieves!
