Yes, I need a Hummer to drive around in Chennai. The number of people with road sense driving around the city is reducing by the day. I am sure that this trend is forcing people with sense as well to drive crazily. Two wheelers overtake you from right and cut right across to overtake the next vehicle from left and YOU need to slow down, not the two wheeler.
A Tata Sumo or Scorpio will drive literally on the opposite side and YOU need to stop and give way. "Share" autos and fish carts will come along fishing from no where and leave a "mark" on your brand new car. YOU will need to keep quiet and spend Rs. 3000 for every scratch. Auto ricks, cycle and bikes will hit your bumper when you are waiting in the signal and will test the paint job on your body colored bumpers. State corporation bus will honk you to death if you stop on amber or do not leave the signal couple of seconds before the actual green. Mahindra vans will do a brightness challenge on your eyes if you are on the highway.
Finally a new breed is coming along to add to this existing crap - girls(and few boys) walking in the middle of the road talking on their cell phones and not minding anything that is going around them. So much for driving around in the city roads. With a Hummer, I will bull doze my way through, lets see if someone can stop me!
