As of now there are only four DTH service providers in India viz. TataSky (promoted by JV of Tata & Sky viz. Star TV), Dish TV (Zee), DD Direct (Doordarshan), Big TV (Reliance) & upcoming are from Bharti from Airtel, Sun from Sun TV & Videocon’s too. Due to Dish TV’s pathatic customer service & DD Direct’s limited channels, consumers had developed a feeling that DTH will not be a very successful venture & Cable TV Service will reign supreme.
Recently launched Big TV has been unable to make any mark on customer service front. But TataSky has succeeded in changing the all round scenario across India with excellent hardware quality & excellent customer service. Due to which Dth (dishes) is nowadays visible installed in around every nook & corner of India. Lacs of people have been freed from the blackmailing tactics of the Cable-wallahs.
Finally the consumer is the ultimate winner..!!
