Anyone who wants to learn just the basics in computer should avoid joining any computer institute, however good it may be.
There is a very good book by the name of Rapidex computer course which is presented very well and comes with an interactive CD that guides you through all the steps very methodically.
Believe me this interactive CD is the best teacher that you can find in any institute.

I’ll give you my reason why you should avoid joining any institute at all.
First for a basic course these institutes ask for fees anywhere between RS 2800 to RS 3500.
However my suggestion will not go down with people who do not have a computer at home as where will they practise if they only buy the book that I have recommended?
But now that you are not paying any fees to the institute you can invest this money in buying a second hand computer.
A second hand computer with Pentium 1 or Pentium 2 processor costs under RS 4000.
So now with your own computer and the Rapidex book all your investments should not exceed more than Rs 4200.
Just by shelling some extra money you have your own machine, plus this book which is the best teacher.
So then, why do you want to join an institute that gives you only 32 hours of computer practise when you can do unlimited practise just by shelling a few more hundred rupees?
