This is my personal experience. Do not get fool by any mediclaim insurance company. They are taking the benifit of our emotional behaviour. For the example out of 100 members hardly 4 - 5 members are filing the claim and getting benifitted. What about remaining 95 people? They are just paying year by year without any benifit and there is no return on the money which you have invested.
These companies are smart. They are not reimbursing the day to day medical expenses. For getting the benifit of mediclaim, you have to be admitted atleast for 24 hrs in hospital. Once you file the claim, real nature of these companies comes on surface. They will ask you more and more proof and see that how the claim can be disqualified.
My sincere request to all friends is to invest your money for the medical treatment somewhere else where you can withdraw at any point of time. Best way is in mutual funds where you can get good returns with your investment and can be stop any point of time whenever there is a need. In this way you can secure your self as well as your money. However you wont get any return on Mediclaim policies. Do not get emotionaly blackmail by these companies.
