Here are some few tips and tricks that how could porting your number may help you . And by judging what characteristics of network you must port :
1) . Technical difficulties : What I have seen that ( when I port number from reliance GSM to Airtel) I have observed that to port number it almost take 7 days to activate . Now ( here I am talking about for porting number from reliance GSM to Airtel 4G network) . So it means to port number it takes very much long time. But we could prevent it by knowing which number or broadband service port number in easiest and fastest way. OR Second thing according to me in todays generation as we all have ADHAR CARD only take that ADHAR CARD to your nearest gallary and by process of scanning your thumb foot print a new sim card or new number could be activated within 5 minutes . Whether it is Airtel, idea , Vodafone or jio. The only thing is that you have to be at least 18 plus. To activate fastly. So like that you could eliminate porting system due to its technical difficulty.
2) . Strenth Quality : If porting is only your last option then first in which area you live. Try to check local network strength of various telecom broadband . Now This could be done buy using various speed testing app ( for Android device) for example like Ookla app which is the best speed test app in Android. Now I have selected Airtel 4G because in my area ( in lokmanya nagar thane west, building name satyavas samarth) I have found out that in my terrace their is an anntenna of Airtel broadband. Due to which in my home ( i.e in first floor) the network coverage is good of Airtel . Thats why I port it to Airtel . I have put an image of speed test of Airtel 4G internet by Ookla app and please look to it because the result is truly expected speed of 4G network. So please before porting look to it that what quality in terms of strength of signal of specific broadband is best in your local area and then port it to that specific telecom brodband provider.
3) . Patience : Be patient while porting your number from one telecom service to another.
Because as you to know due to jio best package ( i.e. in terms of talktime recharge, data pack, tariff recharge and roaming package) Airtel is to trying to bring down it rates in terms of recharge , tariff plans, roaming and in similar terms what I have written before. Now since then idea is to trying to merge with jio ( reliance) so that network could be provided by both of company in better way in future. Thus be patient and in future even idea broadband to could become better option in porting .
4) Terminating Fees : . For porting your mobile number some normal fee is aspected. Now this normal fee is around 10Rs to 20Rs but not more then 20Rs. If anybody either in gallary or store is taking a charge more than 20Rs then you could launch complain too ( for taking extra charge) . And yes while porting your number please have at least 5Rs talktime balance . For sending sms related to porting ( or to which number you want to port) . Thank you.
