Personality is the organized pattern of behaviours and attitudes one person renders to express his feelings, emotions and action to various situation in relation with people & events they meet in day to day basis. William James, considered as the father of modern day psychology view personality "arises from continuous interplay of instincts, habits and personal choices". Personality development is something more than improving your dress code or your language, though it reflects your personality.
GOOD VALUES, which will help you to accomplish what’s really important. Values are fine points one extract from experience and adopt as one’s guiding force of life. Formation of values is having great importance. It is what we see, hear and experience which help us to make our decisions. Good values will guide us to the correct way, but with bad values you will go in the wrong way. People may be successful of failures, but it is the values they hold determine whether their life is really successful or not. A failure after a fight for a right cause is better than success for a wrong cause. Forming good values and maintaining it is the first step to powerful personality. To do that, we have to be in constant touch with good books, good friends and environment. DECISIONS MAKING is an important aspect which decides our destiny. In a day we are making thousands of decisions from crossing a road to reading a book to browsing in internet and so on. It is the values we hold in our life which help us to form our decisions and i.e. values are of greater importance. A good person make correct decisions almost all the times when it comes to important matters. He will not be afraid to change his way if he feel he was wrong buthe will not change the cource untill it is proved.
LOVE YOURSELF. Accept one fact. You are the beautiful person in the universe. You are the important person in the world. Whatever you think and believe, you don’t have complete control on anything including your life. But you have the most control on your life than anything else or anybody else’s life. A good personality demands self love. It should not misunderstand as selfishness. It should not narrow the meaning to self confidence. Important thing is that you love your life and do the needful to protect it. We should not allow our body to weaken or fallen. We should present ourselves well to others. The important symbol of a good personality is not that they dress luxuriously, but they maintain themselves comfortable. Personal Hygiene is a must. Self Pride should be practiced. Our body and mind should be kept away from the dangers which may contaminate it. Pessimism does a lot of damage where positive attitude have much affect in our life than we think. Remove bad habits, eventhough it is difficult. Simply avoid bad company. Don’t procrastinate and don’t shy away to say sorry when we are wrong.
KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, & CONFIDENCE. Knowledge is the first virtue of survival in this universe and it is the last virtue which will stay with us until your last breath. Collect information to the maximum, form it as knowledge, think about it and be wise to let the knowledge guide your life. When we know that by brushing two stones we can create fire. It forms as our wisdom when we decide to do that and heat the water to boil the rice and ate it. Good personality will not miss a chance to learn about something he is interested or something good. All these knowledge, wisdom & decision making process generate experience and he/she will become confident himself to move forward.
4. EMOTIONS – CONTROL THEM. Emotions are human and controlling them requires a lot of patience and skill. If you are prone to any emotion, whether it is joy, sorrow, sex, anger or sadness other emotions will be your neighbour and soon you will be addicted to them when they approach with a powerful force. However, a powerful mind knows how to control them. We are traveling in car or plain confidently not because they are faster, but they are faster safe. Speed without control is dangerous and powerful personalities know how to control emotions and utilize it to maximum benefit. They will face the difficult situation of life than running away from it. They know they are important and their values prevent from them running away. To stand in a difficult situation one requires lot of patience, emotional control and will power. If we need to improve on our personality we should improve our control on our emotions. Birds can fly over our heads, but should not allow them make a nest on our head. Imagine yourself in a different way, a positive way.
HARD WORK. Whether it is mental or physical, if we need to hold our self above we need to do hard work. We should learn the art of doing hard work and earning for our bread. Taking Responsibility is a sure symbol of a powerful person and without hardwork, sincerity and will it is not easy. Independence of thought, finance, culture and behaviour set our mind free and hold our head up in any group. They do hard work with an Aim and they will not rest until the objective is achieved. They will plan their aims well and organize man material and money systematically for maximum use.
SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR. Being a social animal, powerful persons know how to interact with individuals and group. Their group behaviour in talk, action and sentiments will be very positive and cordial. They know when they are in a group they should work for the group goals than personal ones. It is Vivekananda who told that "if we are not doing anything for the society what is the difference between the stones, animals and coffins?" A powerful personality is not possible without positive social intervention. We will not allow others to enter our life if they are not really interested in us. So, if we need to enter into other’s mind we need to be social conscious and have a will to do our best for betterment of the society.
I had the thread for this review and plan for writing it for long, but somehow it didn’t happened. When I needed a quick review, I rechecked my earlier notes and here it is….It is written in a stretch and I know if I have taken more time I could have improved on it. However, there are many and many good things which I kept in shelves for long. So, here my views friends…without waiting for perfection…now tell what is your opinion on powerful personality?
