SAFETY of SAVINGS BANK ACCOUNTS ?????

People from all the walk of life generally keep some money in Savings bank account for easy availability and safe keep of he same. RBI has issued instructions that here should be a minimum of two years of non transactions in the these accounts before the account can be classified as dormant and also that in that case the bank should ascertain the whereabouts of the account holder and facilitate if there is any problem with them.

But it has become a practice with the banks to make the accounts in inoperative & dormant even within Six months on every pretext and and then enforcing many rules and requirement before releasing the account holder’’s own money, thereby causing many hardship for a common man in cases of need and specially in health emergency.

This type of dealings are more hurting the senior citizens who do not have a running source of income and totally depends on the deposits made with the bank in their life time.

This should be immediately be restrained by the Government as well as RBI and the concerned banks should be put to task.

Evidences and name of the banks can be provided if any person so desires.
