Set top box is one of the system under CAS. Using this we can connect to cable pay channels. Normally in most part of the country people are not using this set top box to connect to the pay channels. Instead the cable operator himself take some extra money and provide these channels.
But unfortunately the people of chennai are not favoured with this option. They definitely have to buy a set top box to view the pay channels. Other wise they cannot connect to the pay channels and view cricket matches, important news channels, animal planets channel and even cartoon channels.
Even if you plan to buy a set top box, the cost is high, which no ordinary man will try to buy. Also buying this set top box is not an easy issue. There is no system to regularise the buyers. They will accept only cash. No cards, or cheques or even drafts. Paying every month billis still more worse.
But one advantage is there. Clarity is very good. Sound is clear.
But for this one advantage, people of chennai should not be tortured and tonsured like this.
