ADVERTISING ---AND THE BEST BRAINS AT WORK

Channel swapping is the phenomenon that guides people sitting before a   T.V

we never want to waste time by  looking at those ads, which we believe are   telecasted on T.V    and programmes   aired  in between these ads.

On most occasions we are disappointed  b’cos we are made to wait, to  watch the programme.

and the number of channels   has also been on the rise.and this also supports the phenomenon of channel swapping.

but are this ads really bad to be left unwatched???????????

we all know that ads are meant to increase the sales volumes  of a product.

but is it just all about selling a product????????????????????

it is about the best brains at work(the indian brain    of course).

there is creativity in almost all the ads.

there are some really good ads (great ones in fact)  that are aired on T.V, that prove once again that we have the most creative men working in  advertising agencies.

I like most ads .

but talking of favourites ......

i like the saint gobain  one .

look at the saint-gobain  advertisement  with a bit of interest and u will realise that all these days   some second grade stuff   took precedence over   something really creative.

a small boy goes into a rest room and stands in front of the mirror, to get the work done(we all know what), b’cos he cannot make out that it is a mirror.and ofcourse at the end what we are made to believe is , that    glass can be so clear..

it is based on a simple day to day life situation used to perfection , with the help of great creativity.

u have to see that to believe that people can think.

the other ad that comes to mind is the HAPPY DENT one.

we all know how a traditional cameraman goes about doing his work.

the ad starts with a cameraman taking some snaps of a girl.

and after some time the girl says  ’’ab bas ji’’

photographer: ek aur’’

this is when the real thing comes in

he adjusts the head of the person(assistant) standing beside him.

the assistant puts one happy dent  inside his mouth and smiles at the time when the photo grapher takes a snap.

the shine of his teeth replaces the flash used in traditional cameras.

simple but an effective way of marketing a product.
