Only some people in India heard about Kurnool(which ws first capital of Andhra Pradesh).
I made a trip to my relatives who stay overthere, And I got to see it was a very joyful and best trip I ever had.(I stay at Bangalore working overhere as SoftwareEngineer)
Kurnool is actually 200kms from Hydrabad and 350 from Bangalore.
Surrounded by 3 rivers tungabadra, handri and neeva and a canal called as KC canal
NH 7 goes through kurnool, and trains are also there from B’lore, Hyd, Coimbatur, Chennai, Delhi etc. Best Time to reach overthere is Sep to Jan
Around Kurnool there are a lot of temples and forest area are present.
Alampur(Sakthi Place like kachi kamakshi, madhura meenakshi) is for Jogulamba(Goddess Durga), it is at the banks of Tungabadra, it’s a b’ful place with aroun 9 temples of 720AD
present and it is 28kms from kurnool
Next is
Mantralayam 94Kms from Kurnool, there r lot of buses running from Kurnool to Mantralayam, here we get to see Sri Guru raghavendra Swamy.
Next is Srisailam another sakthi place(like kasi), Siva is lord over here, it is 140 kms
we get buses for every one Hour, and u pass through Forest called as Nallamlah, famous for tigers.
And also u have Ahobilam, Yaganti, Mahanandhi in and around 100 Kms and u do get a lot of Buses overhere
And recently AP Tourism Dept Developed Caves called as Belum Caves, which are bigger than Borra Caves in Vizag.
They are very fine to see, and Dept provided Oxygen ventilaters in here, and through out Caves we get proper lighting, and it is 110kms from Kurnool.
These are very fine places around Kurnool.
They r Very fine to Visit and see.
Going to Srisailam, we get lot of thing to see in middle journey, water falls, different animals and lot’s more
So whom ever think to visit overhere can enjoy every bit of it
