I have used Zivame.com for 4 times now and I have mixed experience with them. The website is good, updated frequently and easy to use. The major issue is with the fact that products that are not available are put on display. You order them, the order goes through and customer care calls you a day or two later to inform that products are not available! After receiving a lot of negative feedback on this issue, they have started displaying whether a product is in stock or out of stock. The hilarious thing is that even after choosing a product which the website shows as in stock, one gets to know that the product is not available even with the manufacturer!
The first order I placed, I paid online and waited for my order. After that I learned never to pay in advance. From then on, I use the CoD facility. If they don’t deliver by a certain time, I call up and ask for cancellation of the order. I have found that this works better than having to pay and wait for them to deliver and have heartburn. A minimum of 750/- for CoD is a little on the higher side. It was 500/- earlier and was more lucrative.
Many products do not have multiple images so that we can check the product from all angles. This is where some other sites like prettysecrets.com and cilory.in score. It is very difficult, from the basic stock photo that Zivame provides, to understand how the product looks from different angles. I have written to them many times but obviously they haven’t paid attention.
If they can improve on the above mentioned points, they will well be laughing their way to the bank.
