Sad!

This review is a personal example of what can happen in Hospitals today.

Today with the health care system in disaray, you cannot trust the hospitals, doctors nurses, and depending on the what type of cancer it is, even the person who has it.

Have you ever heard of lymphoma cancer of the brain? I hadn’t until a week ago. I never knew that there were lymph glands in our brains.

The doctor told us that lymphoma was very rare, and must be treated within 2 weeks, to help the patient who has it.

It is a cancer that is classifies as’hematologic’, (like leukemia and hodgkin disease).

It is rare, because it is a primary cancer, while other cancers of the brain, a usually secondary, (this means there are cancer cells that are in other parts of the body, first).

My sister-in-law has this cancer, and through a series of mistakes, it was not found quick enough, and she is now dying.

The symptoms:

The first symptoms are headaches, loss of vision, feeling dizzy, falling and forgetting things.

There is no swelling where the tumour, or tumours are developing. Once they are formed the can vanish as quickly as the began.

Treatments:

If a patient has radiation, the side effects may be nausea, anaemia, diarrhea or sores that develop in your mouth.

If a patient has chemotherapy they may loose all or some of their hair, their skin will feel like it’s burning, they will be tired, have headaches, a fever and diarrhea.

If a patient is put on steroids may irritate your stomach lining, your sugar levels may go up and you will retain fluid, (and look fatter than you are).

Friends and Family:

All cancers patients, need the support, of family and friends. Not to say, ’I’m sorry’, (they know you are), but to talk about the things they want to talk about, drive them to appointments, pick up food, or just to sit and hold their hands.
