But we can do more than just fretting out our frustration here. Few things we can do to improve traffic on Indian roads:
Follow traffic rules, don’t jump signals, don’t cut lanes, etc
Force others to follow rules. For ex., I don’t budge from my position at red lights even when a huge truck/bus honks continuously behind me
Don’t let others cut lanes, there are several ways to do this by we not cutting lanes
Give a bad stare to people honking, jumping signals, cutting lanes, etc. This may not have immediate effect, but if the person does some introspection later, he may not break rules again. After all, hope does not cost a thing
Take photographs, with the vehicle number and the driver clearly visible and post them on websites with high traffic; let them feel the shame. Also, send the photographs to local newspapers
6. Teach traffic rules to children, they are our future. The present generation of adults seems to be a lost case
Somebody, somewhere has to make a beginning.
