I booked a cab for 20th Dec14, from Gurgaon to New Delhi via mobile application on 19th Dec14.
After booking a cab I called customer care about confirmation and cust. care reps. said booking is confirmed and also asked me to some money~ 500rs in wallet of mobile application, which I did after the call.
Just to avoid cash payment.
But today morning when I didnt received any cab, call or SMS from anybody then I called again customer care around 4:50 A.M and customer care reps.
Said there is no cab available, and you supposed to get call/SMS. But I told him I didnt get any SMS about cancellation then again he said may be there is some technical issue(which he was not sure).
I only asked why didnt get any information, he dont have any answer. So I asked him can I speak with any senior, then his supervisor also dont have any information.
He was only giving excuses that were not acceptable and around 5:00 am he said we are about to call you about the cancellation of cab and he is telling me around 5:10 AM.
In the meanwhile both customer care reps. offered me cab with higher rate.
I think these are there tactics to improve business, because in the last moments youve no choice just to book a cab with higher prices.
So my recommendation not to book a cab from Meru genie cab service.
