Unprofessional, Unethical, not courteous

I booked an SUV for one way outstation drop for my sister who is 8 months pregnant and left specific notes of my requirement. My sister was coming from east and after the train journey of almost 18hrs she was supposed to board the cab for her onwards journey. Given her medical condition and the stress due to long journey, it was important for me to arrange a cab that is absolutely comfortable and hence the requirement for Innova and not any other car, which I made very clear at the time of booking. I not only left a note in the special instructions section but also called them up and explained the requirement of a comfortable car(Innova) and a cautious driver. The person on phone assured me that he will be able to make the arrangement according to my requirements. The night before the journey I called up the cab operator "Mr. Sanjiv Duggal", he straight away told me that he cannot guarantee Innova and whichever vehicle is available at that time, they will send that. After repeated requests and explaining him the entire situation, he said the best he can do is arrange for a Xylo. Since it was last minute and I did not have any other option in hand, I agreed for the Xylo. Next morning when I went to the railway station, I called up the driver and gave him the coordinates of where he was supposed to pick my sister and her family up. The driver came- and guess which car he was driving. Forget Innova, forget Xylo-he got Quanto. I just could not believe what these guys did- I called up Mr. Duggal and demanded an explanation. First he sounded absolutely unaware of the situation, then he started convincing me that Xylo and Quanto are one and the same, then when I didn’t agree with his excuses and arguments, he started shouting and then he disconnected the phone. Since we had no choice we went ahead with whatever was provided to us, as I did not want my sister and her family to be stranded at the railway station in the hot and humid weather and waste time on arranging for something else.


Once we loaded the luggage and set up the seat for my sister with sheet and pillow, Mr.  Duggal called and asked us to wait for half an hour so that he can arrange for Innova. We evaluated our options, and decided to go ahead with Quanto, as it was more of a hassle to unload the luggage and wait in the hot and humid weather for 30 mins(and in India time is not a unit, it’s an expression-30 mins could have been 45 or 60, who knows).


All in all there aren’t many choices- but one thing for sure is that I myself will never book a cab from’Getmecab’ nor I would recommend anyone of you. Please take your decision wisely. These guys are highly unprofessional, unethical and not courteous and specially not the kind I would like to engage with and lose my mind over.
