Yeh muhaasein kyon nahi jaati

All members of Mouthshut have done good justice to this topic, I dont have much new to add, still let me spill my views on Pimples.

I think its a myth that pimples trouble teenagers, it can occur to both men and women in their late 20s, 30s and sometimes persist even after that.

Pimple problems are mainly hormonal.

They need not be hereditary, parents may have perfect skin and yet the child can have pimples.

Pimple prone skins are more in trouble generally during the following time frames:

-For women in their monthly periods

-For women after pregnancy or when using contraceptive pills.

-For both men and women suffering from Hypothyroid and taking medicines like Thyrox 100 or the equivalent of the same, the doses may vary leading to acute acne.

-For both men and women, rapid change of climatic conditions eg. living in hot regions and moving to cold or vice versa.

-For men and women during times of Stress.

Theres really no concrete cure for this irksome little dots on skin except that one can maintain a good skin regime.

Some products in the market like’Clean & Clear face wash’ does  help to reduce pimples due to Salicylic acne medication.

some things that I do when I get pimples.

-ignore it most of time when they are in ones and twos and be cheerful.

  • if one comes up on my forehead in the center, I wear Indian clothes like sari or salwaar kameez and sport a pretty bindi on top of the pimple.

  • if its on the cheek and I need to goto a party or outing, I carefully apply foundation and compact over it and conceal it and keep smiling.

-If its on top of my nose and just before a big night, I put a dab of toothpaste on it and sleep, it definitely works, next day the size becomes much more smaller and insignificant.

  • If it doesnt work then, I talk about it all the time and make my friends say’ ufff yaar, enough about your pimple on your nose, now lets concentrate on something else’

ha ha ha, try this also, it works!

Well, these are some easy non scientific, non medicated tips. but practical tips to  reduce the frustrating impact of pimples.

For serious acne, a good skin doctor might help, or a very structured skin care routine.
